You probably had some idea of what kind of medicine you wanted to practice when you first applied to medical school. But now that you have been through a few years, you know a lot more you did back then. Soon you will face a choice of specialties and residencies to apply to and these are crucial decisions for the remainder of your career.
ACMS invites you to its first Specialty Career Fair to help you explore different pathways, opportunities, and practice settings. We will convene a few dozen specialists from our membership covering a wide variety of medical specialties. In this Zoom call, specialists will be placed in breakout rooms and students will be able to choose which physicians they would like to spend some time talking with.
We are now opening this to local medical residents and Boise State University and Idaho State University pre-med track students.
Saint Alphonsus Medical Group A. Patrice Burgess, MD will provide an informative and inspirational introduction to the evening. Dr. Burgess is the Executive Medical Director at Saint Alphonsus and Chair of the Governors #COVID19 Vaccine Advisory Committee. She has practiced Family Medicine for over 30 years and is the Idaho Medical Association's delegate to the American Medical Association.
