Dermatology Clinic of Idaho Welcomes Two Physicians 

 

Dr. Lindsey GoddardLindsay Goddard, M.D., joins the Dermatology Clinic of Idaho in Boise as their newest fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon. She is double board-certified in dermatology and micrographic dermatologic surgery. She completed her ACMS micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology fellowship at Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center, receiving extensive training under a physician who trained with Dr. Frederic Mohs.

“I love the combination of skin cancer surgery, pathology, oncology, and reconstructive surgery,” says Dr. Goddard. “I also get to know my patients as they are awake during the procedure, which I enjoy. Every day is different!” Dr. Goddard also has experience in lasers, facial plastic surgery, and cosmetics.

Originally from Oklahoma, Dr. Goddard says, “You can take me out of Oklahoma, but the music will follow me everywhere I go!” Besides cheering on the Sooners, she also enjoys practicing yoga and Pilates, as well as hiking, skiing, baking, card games, and traveling.

Her undergraduate degree in business administration is from the University of Oklahoma, where she graduated summa cum laude. She graduated from the College of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma with distinction and election into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She also served as Chief Resident during her dermatology residency at the Loma Linda University Medical Center.

Ryan Wells, MDRyan Wells, M.D., Ph.D., Pharm.D. is excited to return to Idaho, having been born and raised in Mountain Home, Idaho. He completed his undergraduate degree at Brigham Young University before earning a Doctor of Pharmacy at Idaho State University. Dr. Wells then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he earned both his M.D. and Ph.D, the latter of which was in microbiology and focused on global health.
 
He spent some time in Botswana and South Africa investigating the HIV and TB syndemic and a keen interest in mucosal immunology and dermatology developed during this period. Dr. Wells then completed his clinical training in both internal medicine and dermatology at the University of Minnesota where he also completed the Global Health Pathway.

In addition to general dermatology, his interests include complex medical dermatology such as rheumatologic dermatology, dermatologic oncology, and dermatologic infectious diseases.
