Dr. Drummond is a Mayo trained family doctor, professional coach, author, speaker and trainer whose sole professional focus since 2011 has been addressing the modern burnout epidemic among physicians. He has authored he book “Stop Physician Burnout,” created multiple tools to attack this dilemma, and his website, TheHappyMD.com, provides counsel and inspiration to more than 25,000 visitors monthly.
Paul DeChant, MD, MBA July 12, 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Dr. DeChant is a senior advisor with Simpler Healthcare, an IBM Watson Health affiliate, providing executive coaching to health care leaders pursuing Lean transformations in their organizations and providing thought leadership on clinical operations and innovation. He has practiced family medicine for 30 years at such institutions as Geisinger Health System, Palo Alto Medical Foundation, and most recently as CEO of Sutter Gould Medical Foundation.
Colin West, MD, PhD September 27, 6:30 - 8:30 PM
Dr. West is an internationally recognized leader and researcher in physician burnout and is a faculty member of Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota. As a general internal medicine physician with a PhD in biostatistics, Dr. West has focused his career primarily on physician well-being, evidence-based medicine, and medical education. He co-directs the institution’s physician well-being research program, and has published widely in Lancet, JAMA, and other major medical journals.
